A few months ago, a trend circulated online: women posting about missing their menstrual cycles. On the surface, it appeared to be a spontaneous wave of shared experience. There is a very important core truth we’ll talk about that is not exactly sensitive, but certainly one that many people avoid discussing. And that avoidance, in itself, is part of the problem. We live in a culture that shies away from anything that makes people uncomfortable, even when discomfort is precisely the catalyst required for awakening. Sometimes we need language that shocks, that disrupts, that forces presence – but it must be delivered with intention, with taste, and with integrity…especially when we are talking about something so sacred.
Let’s get the uncomfortable truth out of the way first – and I’m not talking about something so natural that is the very reason for the continuation of life on this planet (yet still sadly cause people to recoil and feel shame talking about). In reality, this trend was largely a product of the algorithmic echo chamber, an environment where content is replicated, recycled, and regurgitated for the sake of vanity metrics. The moment one video gains traction, the algorithm begins mass‑producing replicas, serving up dozens of nearly word‑for‑word copies. What initially feels authentic quickly dissolves into a factory line of mimicry. This is not merely an algorithmic quirk; it is a reflection of the broader unauthenticity saturating digital spaces. That all said – it did stem from something very important to bring to light, and I have some personal experiences to share regarding this sacred cycle and a reactive shifting to collective currents; as well as some deeper occult wisdom on the magick of a menstrual cycle itself.
This trend peaked dramatically when CERN announced the shutdown of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), on June 29 2026. Immediately, social media filled with “missing period” posts – amongst other, extremely poorly informed and parroted content. Nine out of ten were performative, people chasing virality rather than speaking from lived experience. But a small number were genuine, and those few caught my attention. Not because they were “proof” of anything, and not because they validated any particular theory. Not because they were presented as supporting evidence for a narrative that had already taken hold online (psyops anyone?) but seeing the few genuine people trying to understand something internal without any of the nuance, context, or deeper energetic understanding required to interpret such phenomena. People who were posting purely from a place of jumping on the panic-wagon or assumption were missing several key factors simply because those factors were not part of their lived experience.
I want to be clear: in this article, I am not making a direct correlation between the CERN shutdown and menstrual cycle shifts. In fact, at the start of the year, I knew that the CERN announcement would act as a distraction. Something else, something behind the scenes, something energetic was moving, and the collider shutdown was simply the loudest object in the room…not that there wasn’t a whole other ripple effect caused by that, simply my focus here is not on CERN. My focus is on the cycle shifts themselves.
My own cycle as an intuitive instrument
I have always been either deeply attuned to my body or felt totally detached from it. My menstrual cycle has always reflected that, now it is highly predictable, and – like many women’s cycles – it tends to align with the lunar phases. This is not a universal rule, and I want to emphasise that. There are countless reasons why a woman’s cycle may not align with the moon, and none of those reasons imply a lack of intuition, authenticity, or spiritual connection. Underlying medical conditions, hormonal imbalances, trauma, stress, and even environmental factors can influence cycle timing. These are not moral failings; they are simply realities of the human body. Do I see underlying spiritual reasons for all of that – yes, but this is not a diagnostic article.
I speak from experience. In periods of my life when I was disconnected from my intuition, my purpose, or my authentic expression, my cycle became irregular – sometimes unpredictable, sometimes absent, sometimes as chaotic as life felt. As I returned to myself, to my gifts, to my alignment with the natural world, my cycle synchronised again with lunar rhythms. This pattern has repeated enough times that I no longer question it. Most people – regardless of gender, are never taught that a menstrual cycle is not just a physical act, it’s not something just symbolic of creation and purging it is a portal – in the most literal sense.
We can come back to that, beyond this – like most of you reading this, I am a highly sensitive empath. I feel shifts in the collective field and fluctuations in the Schumann resonance often before they occur. My body acts as an instrument – sometimes inconveniently, sometimes profoundly – alerting me to incoming energetic changes. One of the clearest indicators is my menstrual cycle. I can often sense, weeks in advance, when my cycle is going to shift. I know whether it will align with the new moon, the full moon, or oscillate between the two for a particular month. This sensitivity has been consistent for years, and it has never failed to prove itself.
The intuitive knowing at the start of the year
At the beginning of this year, I felt a strong instinct: there would be a major cycle shift around mid‑year. This intuitive message aligned perfectly with the nine‑year cycle work I’ve been tracking and teaching through Awakened Power. We are collectively in our Year 1, the seed year, the reset point – but I knew this would take time to transition into – almost 6 months as it happened. I had already mapped out the major energetic shifts for 2026, and I came very close to releasing a video series about them. Ultimately, I chose not to – partly to avoid influencing perception, partly for personal reasons.
But the intuitive message remained: mid‑year would mark a significant shift in the global energetic body. A looping back – not a finalisation, but a return to a previous point in the cycle, completing a circuit before beginning the next. When the online trend about missing periods erupted, I recognised immediately that most of it was noise. But beneath the noise, a few genuine experiences mirrored the shift I had already anticipated. This article is not about proving anything. It is about documenting the lived, intuitive, embodied experience of cycle‑based sensitivity during a year of profound collective transition.
For those who are sensitive to collective shifts – empaths, intuitives, witches, seers – the body often registers incoming changes weeks or even months before they manifest externally. This is not metaphor. It is a physiological‑energetic reality recognised across countless esoteric traditions. The menstrual cycle, in particular, is one of the most responsive systems in the human body. It is governed by hormones, yes but those hormones are not isolated chemical events. That’s the narrative we are told so we don’t question deeper, or worse (in a control based systems eyes) learn the power of their wisdom. They are deeply entangled with circadian rhythms, lunar rhythms, geomagnetic fluctuations, environmental stressors, and the collective emotional field.
Women who “feel” global shifts ahead of time often experience cycle changes as the first sign: a bleed arriving early, a bleed arriving late, a sudden alignment with a different lunar phase (more what I’m particularly talking about from experience, the shifting – not the ‘missing’ as this trend started to point to), or a temporary disruption followed by a new pattern. These changes are not random. They are messages.
The Occult Anatomy of the Cycle
In occult traditions, each week of the menstrual cycle corresponds to a distinct energetic phase. These phases mirror the moon’s cycle, the agricultural cycle, and the mythic cycle of descent and return. If you do not mirror the phases below eg your bleed corresponds to a full moon, then keep reading, this can all be customised for you when you understand the patterns and themes.
Week 1: The Bleed (The Descent / The Dark Moon)
This is the phase of release, clearing, and psychic opening. In esoteric anatomy, the veil thins during bleeding. Sensitivity increases. Dreams intensify. The body becomes a vessel for messages from the subconscious and the collective field. A bleed during the new moon amplifies this descent: it is considered a time of deep intuition, shadow work, and prophetic insight.
Week 2: The Rising (The Waxing Moon)
Hormones begin to climb. Energy returns. Creativity sparks. This is the phase of intention, construction, and forward movement. In magickal practice, this is the ideal time for manifestation work, spell‑building, and setting direction.
Week 3: The Peak (The Full Moon)
Ovulation corresponds to the full moon in occult symbolism. This is the phase of illumination, clarity, and heightened psychic perception. Emotions intensify. The body becomes magnetised—drawing in experiences, connections, and synchronicities. A bleed during the full moon is considered a sign of heightened spiritual power, often associated with healers, witches, and women who work actively with collective energies. It marks a reversal of the typical cycle: instead of releasing in the dark, the body releases in the light.
Week 4: The Unravelling (The Waning Moon)
This is the liminal phase. Sensitivity increases again. The body prepares for another descent. In occult traditions, this week is associated with divination, intuition, and the gathering of subtle information. Many women feel incoming energetic shifts most strongly here.
Full Moon Bleed vs New Moon Bleed – Occult Interpretations
Across witchcraft, folk magick, and esoteric traditions, the timing of one’s bleed relative to the moon has long been used as a diagnostic tool for spiritual alignment.
New Moon Bleed: The Witch of the Inner Realms
A new moon bleed is associated with:
- shadow work
- intuition
- prophecy
- internal transformation
- descent into the subconscious
- alignment with the Crone and Maiden archetypes simultaneously
Women who bleed on the new moon are often seen as receivers – those who channel insight, sense shifts early, and work with the hidden layers of reality.
Full Moon Bleed: The Witch of the Outer Realms
A full moon bleed is associated with:
- manifestation
- healing
- collective work
- energetic leadership
- outward expression
- alignment with the Mother and Sorceress archetypes
Women who bleed on the full moon are often seen as emitters – those who project energy, influence collective fields, and act as stabilisers during global shifts.
Shifting Between the Two
When a woman’s cycle shifts from new moon to full moon or vice versa, it is often interpreted as a sign of:
- a change in spiritual role
- a transition in life purpose
- an initiation
- an energetic recalibration
- or a response to collective upheaval
These shifts can occur suddenly – sometimes triggered by personal transformation, sometimes by global energetic events.
Cycles as Collective Sensors
This brings us back to the mid‑year shift I anticipated. Sensitive women often act as early warning systems for collective changes. Their bodies register fluctuations in the global energetic field long before those fluctuations become visible in the external world.
Some experience:
- early bleeding
- delayed bleeding
- sudden alignment with a different lunar phase
- temporary cycle disruption
- heightened PMS symptoms
- unusual emotional patterns
- vivid dreams or intuitive downloads
These are not merely hormonal anomalies. They are somatic prophecies. In occult scholarship, the menstrual cycle is considered one of the most accurate diagnostic tools for collective energetic shifts because it is cyclical, responsive, and deeply tied to the moon—the original clock of human consciousness.
When enough sensitive women experience cycle changes simultaneously, it often marks the beginning of a global energetic transition. This is not superstition. It is pattern recognition across centuries of esoteric observation.
Menstrual‑Lunar Alignment as a Personal Compass During Global Resets
As we move deeper into the nine‑year cycle and the collective reset unfolding through 2026, menstrual‑lunar alignment becomes more than a biological rhythm, it becomes a compass, a navigational instrument for understanding one’s role within the shifting global energetic landscape.
In occult traditions, the moon is not merely a celestial body. It is the regulator of psychic tides, the keeper of the subconscious, the original clock of human intuition. When the menstrual cycle aligns with the moon, the body becomes synchronised with this ancient timing system. During periods of global reset when collective energy reorganises itself, the body often recalibrates to maintain alignment with the lunar field.
This recalibration is not random. It is purposeful. Women whose cycles shift during global resets are often those whose spiritual roles are evolving. Their bodies respond first, long before the conscious mind catches up. The bleed becomes a marker of initiation, a signpost indicating where one stands within the larger energetic movement.
How Alignment Functions as a Compass
1. Directional Shifts in Purpose
When a cycle moves from new moon to full moon or vice versa, it often signals a change in spiritual orientation.
- A shift toward the new moon suggests a movement inward, toward intuition, shadow work, prophecy, and internal transformation.
- A shift toward the full moon suggests a movement outward, toward healing, manifestation, leadership, and collective influence.
These shifts frequently occur during global resets because the collective field reorganises itself, and sensitive individuals naturally reposition within it.
2. Recalibration of Energetic Roles
Cycle changes can indicate a transition in one’s energetic function:
- from receiver to transmitter
- from healer to guide
- from solitary practitioner to collective stabiliser
- from intuitive observer to active participant
The body adjusts its timing to match the role one is stepping into.
3. Initiatory Markers
In many esoteric systems, sudden cycle changes are considered initiatory events. They mark the beginning of a new phase of spiritual development. This may manifest as:
- a temporary disruption
- a sudden alignment with a different lunar phase
- an unexpected bleed during a significant astrological transit
- or a shift that coincides with a major personal awakening
These events are not anomalies, they are invitations.
4. Somatic Warnings and Prophetic Signals
During global resets, the body often senses incoming energetic waves before they arrive. Cycle changes can act as:
- early warnings
- intuitive downloads
- somatic prophecies
- or indicators of collective turbulence
Women who experience these shifts are often those who feel the collective field most strongly.
Interpreting Cycle Changes as Part of One’s Spiritual Role
To interpret cycle changes, one must approach them with curiosity rather than fear. The body is not malfunctioning – it is communicating.
Ask: What is the moon doing?
The lunar phase at the time of the bleed reveals the archetype currently active within you.
Ask: What is shifting in your life?
Cycle changes often mirror transitions in identity, purpose, relationships, or spiritual practice.
Ask: What is shifting in the collective?
Your body may be responding to global energetic movements eg. political upheaval, environmental changes, astrological transits, or shifts in the collective emotional field.
Ask: What role are you stepping into?
Cycle changes often mark the beginning of a new spiritual function, one that may require different timing, different sensitivity, or different alignment.
The Body as Oracle
Let’s take this back to one central truth: The menstrual cycle is not merely biological. It is oracular.
It is a living interface between the personal and the collective, the physical and the energetic, the lunar and the human. During times of global reset – such as the one unfolding through the nine‑year cycle – this interface becomes even more active, more responsive, and more revealing.
Women who experience cycle shifts during these periods are not “out of sync.” They are in sync, just not with the old world. They are aligning with the new one. Their bodies are recalibrating to the rhythms of the emerging energetic landscape, acting as early sensors, intuitive instruments, and living compasses guiding them through the transition.
To understand these shifts is to understand oneself. To honour them is to honour the body’s wisdom. And to track them is to track the unfolding of the collective field itself. This is the ancient knowledge returning. This is the lunar mystery reawakening. This is the body remembering its role as oracle.
Blessed Be xo
