There comes a time in every seeker’s path when the veil isn’t merely lifted, it’s torn down, exposing what we once knelt before, revealing the bones beneath the gold. This is that moment and it’s one of the rarer times such an opportunity is being presented collectively at the same time. Under this Full Moon in Scorpio, a sign known for its unflinching devotion to truth, death, and transformation – we are asked to confront not just the shadows around us, but the holy illusions within.

As with any successful infiltrations though, there are a few well disguised ways these have remained hidden to you, and if you are reading something like this – I can guarantee they apply! To all of my beautiful witchy warrior’s out there – you’re likely going to feel it even harder, but don’t worry I’ve got you covered too with a fitting ritual to usher in the next phase of this 9 year.

This Scorpio Full Moon doesn’t whisper. It howls. And through that howl, it offers an invitation:
Not to destroy the sacred, but to purify. Are you willing to burn what you thought was holy, to find what truly is?

You’ve possibly heard about this astrological phenomenon on social media, either as Medusa’s square or  Lucifer’s Rectangle. Both of these titles are fitting and represent very formidable forces that embody fierce and defiant empowerment, a heretical call to arms if you will. With this rare alignment activated in this lunation, we’re not just facing darkness…we’re witnessing the fall of false light. Before a fall, there is upheaval, and that is the true reason why this specific alignment has been getting some attention. I want to dive more into what that means for you and not necessarily the astrological phenomenon that alludes to this symbolism.

The Priesthood Actually Resides Within

Online, there has been a lot of focus on external systems and shifting of power that we are seeing play out – fittingly, for better or worse – within major political and religious organisations. This year is literally all about exactly that happening, this is only a milestone in the process of what it means to be in a number 9 year and everything that will be destroyed and brought to light due to that. It is literally divine timing, a part of the bigger plan but to many it will seem like the opposite. The old must be destroyed to create room for the new to come in. It is a constant ebb and flow, we just happen to be in an amazing part of that cycle, that is not without its growing pains.

This moon doesn’t only point outward to broken systems, corrupt hierarchies, or wounded spiritual leadership as it has been alluded too. That’s great as a distraction – but have we all forgotten that the externally is a mirror of the internal, the macro and micro ‘cosim. The important part for us to be aware of, on an individual basis is this event forces us to turn the gaze inward. Where have we either consciously or unconsciously, handed over our power in exchange for safety, identity, or validation?

We speak often of “awakening” as if it’s a finish line. But the truth is, the deeper work begins after the initial spark. It begins when we ask:

  • Have I traded one dogma for another, more aesthetic one?
  • Do I still need someone else to crown me wise, pure, or ready?
  • What outdated spiritual roles am I clinging to that no longer serve?

The themes of this lunation are reckoning and spiritual sovereignty, it is not a time for tidy answers so don’t be surprised if these simple prompts pick open a floodgate for you. It’s a time for ritualised truth-telling and raw, vulnerable, sovereign. When you enter into a conversation with well protected parts of your inner self, remember:

  • Reclaim what we projected. The guru. The priest. The guide. The really wiser friend you can’t make up your mind without consulting because your don’t trust yourself enough. All once necessary mirrors… until now. What we gave away, we now need to call back.
  • Witness without shame. The wounds we tried to bypass. The beliefs we clung to out of fear. The complexity we refused to hold. Let it rise. Let it teach. Do NOT judge the part of you that done what they had to to survive, because they did not have the emotional toolkit or self-worth to push for more. If you want to learn from the wound – create the safe space to do so!
  • Make space for messy growth. Not everyone awakens with grace. Can we hold compassion for those whose path to truth looks different than ours? Can we do that for ourselves when our own path doesn’t look like we think it should?

Fixed Fire and Water: The Sacred Crossroads

With this lunation activating the fixed signs, many of us are standing at immovable crossroads, points of pressure that demand transformation or repetition. Look at your birth chart: Where are these signs asking for release, rebirth, and responsibility?

If you don’t have a natal chart, reach out OR don’t worry about that, listen to your intuition and still ask these questions, if you are ready to listen – trust me, the answers will come, they can’t not! This all still applies to you if you aren’t one of those signs too – remember this is a collective opportunity and to some level we embody all of the signs, it’s just to what degree and in what aspect of our lives (e.g career, relationships, purpose etc) that they affect us.

Important questions to ask (more prompts at the end of the article):

  • What am I clinging to that’s already burning?
  • What do I refuse to see in myself that I still condemn in others?
  • What sacred role have I outgrown?

Remember, internal or external – the priesthood isn’t dead, it’s being redefined. The new spiritual leaders aren’t perfect, pure, or polished. They’re real. Raw. Willing to name their shadows. Willing to walk beside, not above. You don’t need a throne to embody truth. You just need the courage to no longer avoid it.

Facing the Flame: Witch Wounds and the Collective Body Memory

Something important for anybody on an occult path, into spirituality, lover of their crystals and plants, the mystics and new-agers, those deemed as woowoo – literally anybody who would make it this far in an article like this, you need to be hyper aware of the witch wound and persecution imprint right now.

Almost without fail, I can guarantee there is a level of this stored somewhere in you and it’s likely been rearing it’s head in varying ways this year (probably since Oct-Nov last years more so) and now it’s likely to get a way more obvious – you have been warned, and are also loved and supported every step of this journey, so don’t forget – I’m here, reach out if it gets too much!

This Full Moon is likely to agitate old soul memories, the ones buried deep in the psyche, the bones, and the bloodline. If you’ve ever held power in a past life and been punished for it… if you’ve felt fear rising when you speak your truth or share your gifts… if you’ve dimmed your light to stay safe, Darling this moon is here to stir those embers

This also may even have presented in your life in non-mystical seeming scenarios of having to be more people-pleasing and having power oppressors (and energy vampires) in your close circles because there is a level of this system that knows what a force you are when you are fully embodied in your power.

Scorpio governs not only death and rebirth, but also deep ancestral memory. And when tied to a pattern like Lucifer’s Rectangle which is a configuration often associated with illumination, rebellion, and redemption, it calls forth the “witch-wound” in all its layers:

  • The healer who was burned.
  • The oracle who was silenced.
  • The priestess who was exiled.
  • The intuitive child told they were “too much.”

This lunation acts like a torch: it may ignite flashbacks, body symptoms, sudden waves of fear or grief, or even a longing for rituals and roles you can’t fully explain. Something to keep in mind, this specific round of symptoms, due to or illuminated by this alignment may have been building up for the last 2 weeks, since the last new moon and could be around for a few more weeks, depending on how proactive you are on addressing them. If it helps though, even by consuming information like this, you’ve already started to energetically shift some things around purely by the acknowledgement that needed to happen – so that’s a win!

This is not a sign you’re broken. It’s an invitation to liberate your inner mystic, to stop seeking permission, and to embody your truth as holy. Remember, this is not imagination – it is imprinted on your mental and energetic bodies – and it needs to be acknowledged, seen, honoured, healed!

Simple Yet Powerful Ritual Suggestion:
Speak aloud, under the moonlight:
“I am not what they said I was. I am what they tried to erase. And I choose now to return to the fire, not to burn — but to forge.” If you’re indoors, right it down on a paper and say it as you burn it with a candle and imagine the fire taking what you are ready to release. Turbo charge your simple spell and do both 🙂

From Cracks to Collapse: How This Full Moon Evolves the Energy of the Last

The last Full Moon carried the energy of recognition, subtle but profound. It stirred the surface, nudging us to notice what wasn’t quite aligned any more. It asked us to look gently at where the seams were thinning, where old patterns began to crumble quietly beneath our feet. It offered insight, yes, but insight still wrapped in compassion, inviting us to observe.

This Scorpio Full Moon, however, is a different creature entirely. It doesn’t whisper. It breaks open.

Where the previous lunation highlighted cracks, this one delivers collapse. It’s not content with gentle nudges. Scorpio, with its fixed water intensity, demands transformation. It doesn’t ask for your opinion on the matter. It pulls up what’s been buried, unmourned, unspoken, especially around power, secrecy, spirituality, identity, ego and trust.

And with the added fire of Lucifer’s Rectangle, this moon is laced with holy defiance, a heretic call to rebel against the systems (inner and outer) that no longer serve the truth of who we are becoming. If the last full moon felt like a nudge to question your story… this one feels like the page burning in your hands.

The Nine Year: Closing the Circle

This moon’s medicine ties beautifully into the sacred rhythm we explored earlier this year, the numerological essence of 2025 as a 9 year. The year of endings, spiritual finality, karmic closure. Previously, I’ve spoke of the cycles that demanded to be honoured… not dragged along.

“Nine is not an ending, but an exhale before rebirth.”
“It is the wisdom of the wound, the sigh of the soul that says: I am finally done.”

This moon feels like that exhale embodied. The “done-ness” not as burnout, but as clarity. This lunation puts pressure on the final knots you’ve been unwilling to cut. It invites a sacred death. Not because you’ve failed, but because this version of you is complete.

The priesthood we’re purging – whether it’s within your lineage, your inner authority, or the roles you’ve played for others – is part of this 9-year shedding. You don’t need to fix it. You need to release it with honour.

We are not just watching a chapter end. We are watching the archetype shift. From seeker to embodiment. From student to sovereign. From silent priestess to visible flame. The Number 9 doesn’t negotiate. It doesn’t want you to make it prettier. It wants you to honour it and this full moon amplifies that opportunity – so how do you plan on doing that?

I’ll be posting a full video on this soon with a reckoning ritual for my witchy warriors out there but for now, I suggest to spend 5 minutes in meditation or quiet reflection and let this article fully integrate into your system. When you are ready, perhaps you’d like to do some journaling, I’ve left some prompts to get you started.

My last important reminder on this crucial part of the process to move forward, let yourself grieve what’s ending. But also: let it end. It is an important step to call back what is yours, especially your spiritual power. This is the time to reclaim your seat at the altar, not above others, but beside them and fulfil your role in this collective experience.

Blessed Be xo

Suggested Journal Prompts (for your shadow work):

  1. Where have I unconsciously played the role of authority — and where has that become performative?
  2. What belief about “arriving” is preventing me from doing deeper inner work?
  3. Am I creating space for others to awaken in their own time, or am I projecting my pace onto them?
  4. Where have I refused to look — in myself, in my lineage, in the collective?
  5. What would it mean to hold power without hierarchy?
  6. What am I clinging to out of obligation, habit, or fear of who I’ll be without it?
  7. What identity, job, or relationship is energetically complete, even if it’s still physically present?
  8. Where have you externalised your power?
  9. Where have you silenced your intuition because it didn’t look like someone else’s version of “truth”?
  10. Where have you played small in order to stay accepted?
